Let's Get To Know ICC Weekend School
MISSION:
The goal of the ICC Weekend School is to promote students to the authentic Islamic education based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
We promote and support truth, trust, respect, values, and responsibility.
The ICC Weekend School associates these qualities with the authentic teachings of Islam as a way of life through a quality education process.
AGES:
We accept boys and girls ages 5 and up.
SCHOOL YEAR:
Our school is held on Sundays throughout the school year, starting on the last Sunday of August and ending in the third week of May.
We observe Eid, Winter and Spring breaks.
TIMING:
School starts at 9:45 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
ACADEMIC OBJECTIVES:
The school characterizes four categories of lessons:
- Qur'an/Arabic: Teaching Qur'an memorization, reading, vocabulary words, meanings and understanding of the Qur'an.
- Iman and Ibadat: Teaching Islamic core beliefs and the practice of Islam as a way of life.
- Tahdhib and Akhlaq: Incorporating the concepts of Islamic morals, manners, values, and other applications in daily life.
- History, Geography, and Seerah: Providing the history of Islam, the Prophets, and relevant geographical information.
SCHOOL RELATED ACTIVITIES:
Morning Assembly, Fun-Day, Qur'an memorization competition, Eid gift program, Care-Kit program and Graduation Day program.
